Snug Special: Tim Holehouse, Calum Carlyle & DBH – Saturday 4th September from 8pm – Free entry

Don’t miss this great free night of acoustic folk and blues in the Snug.

Tim Holehouse plays blues-based music with roots in the Delta Blues of the 1920s and 1930s, with an emphasis on rhythm and bottleneck slide. Just like the musicians from the era in question he travels and plays music for music's sake, always making new friends along the way.

Calum Carlyle is a songwriter, singer and instrumentalist from Orkney, now based in Edinburgh, whose adventurous acoustic music is very much in the style of Ben Harper and Matt Norris. Calum released his third full length CD album, Honesty and Thorns, earlier this year and also helps organise Edinburgh’s longest running Open Mic Night, “Out of the Bedroom”.

DBH is a purveyor of soft and gentle instrumental folk in the tradition of Nick Drake whose releases can be found on indie label Heat Death Records.

Doors at 8pm. Free entry.
