Artistic & Programming Policy:
They Eat Culture at The Continental programmes across all art forms, including music, theatre, cabaret, live art, physical theatre, live documentary, multimedia experimentation, film, dance, comedy, and live literature. We emphasise experimentation, intellectual stimulation, and contemporary takes on classical work, alongside a programme which includes traditional favourites. We work with emergent and established local, national, and international artists, companies, producers, and promoters. We also run an associate artists scheme, developing creative relationships as a producing performance space.
Proposed Arts Space Hire at The Continental
We welcome outside promoters and encourage hire of the Arts Space and any other area of the venue for your creative events. Costs for this are dependent on the event and if they are free to the general public are often subsidised. We do need information from you to guide us in best advising and placing your event in our programme so please download the Arts Hire document and return to Robyn Talbot. This includes theatre, contemporary performance, literature, cabaret, showcases, any music, DJ-run events, film, workshops, etc...
Please call Robyn on 01772 499207 to discuss arts hire or email him at robyn@newcontinental.net
