New Special Guest slot introduces...

Mark Ashmore of Future Artists

At each Sync event we will invite a special Guest/company or organisation to show and give a talk about their work. This will allow us to cover different themes and areas of interest to the group.

Sync 4 are pleased to welcome Mark Ashmore of Future Artists. Future Artists create innovative strategies around films that utilise new technologies during the finance, production and distribution phases of film making.

For more information on Future Artists please visit their website http://futureartists.co.uk/

He will be joining us to talk about his work, the co-operative, new funding models and their touring film directing workshops due to visit They Eat Culture at The Continental in April.
Sync members will get a £5 discount on the workshop, for more details visit: http://filmdirectingworkshop.eventbrite.com

For bookings email mark.ashmore@futureartists.co.uk

Mark will also be showing one of his shorts Broken Britain, which will be followed by a Q & A session.

SYNC at LIFE

We are taking Sync on tour for the Life Festival at the Mitchell & Kenyon Cinema.

Sync at Life will be on the 9th of April.
If you are interested in showing a piece of work we are open for submissions (be it our SYNC Challenge or other work).

Requirements: Any Audio visual work, under 10 mins in length

The SYNC challenge is to make an under 5 minute piece around a place – the bus station – which includes a moment (or maybe more) which represents ‘sync’. There’s no more brief than this – play with the form, the content, the style, the shape, the meaning of sync.

There’s a preliminary opportunity for feedback from your peers at this Sync – and then there’s 2 weeks or so after that to deliver for the main event.

For the full Sync Challenge brief please email jackie@theyeatculture.org

Bring us a copy of your piece on CD, or DVD to the next Sync or send it to us at:
