The Roots of Love – Friday 30th July - 8pm – £5

From Cathy Crabb, the writer of Manchester Library Theatre hit Beautiful House comes this taught and touching tale inspired by Jimmy Ruffin’s classic song ‘What Becomes of the Broken Hearted’?
The Roots of Love is a short and intense play about a relationship between a man and the best friend of his dead son. The audience witness the last twenty minutes of a twenty year friendship between two unique and charismatic men – a relationship built on remorse, guilt, love and vivid imaginations.
"Packed with pathos and wit… a beautiful piece about the fragility of the human condition". Maxine Peake
It starts at 8pm. Entry is £5.
Mediamedea was originally set up by Cathy Crabb in 2002 and became one of the In-House Companies of Studio Salford at The King’s Arms. Cathy's latest comedy, Beautiful House, debuted at Studio Salford in late 2007 before going on to the Library Theatre and her show Moving Pictures and Other Work has just finished a successful run at The Lowry.
