Be prepared for another ‘Night of the Living Dead’ at The Continental on Saturday 31st July, when Lancaster’s After Dark Theatre Company return once more for the final night of the Tringe with their hit show, How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse! Dr Dale Seslick and his School of Survival will be on hand to teach you everything you need you everything you need to know for when the zombie pandemic inevitably occurs.
In this hilarious show, questions and suggestions are taken from the audience, much in the style of TV’s Whose Line is it Anyway?, meaning that every performance is unique. ‘Each presentation is custom made to answer the questions asked by the audience at each individual show,’ says Dr Seslick, ‘ensuring that the public gains the information they need in order to survive’. The show was a huge hit when it came to The Continental last year and sold out at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival - where it was performed for eleven nights solid!
‘Our seminar will save lives,’ the self proclaimed guru tells us, nodding sagely. ‘It is my mission in life to ensure that the general public receives the information they need to be able to survive a zombie outbreak. We teach the basics like how to build weapons and barricades from everyday items, where the safest places to hide are, how to choose which friend or family member to sacrifice when the need arises, along with much more – and we try and keep the whole process fun and upbeat whilst dealing with these serious key issues.’
This year’s show also marks the nationwide release of their new Zombie Apocalypse book – which you’ll be able to get your undead hands on on the night! How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse starts at 8pm on Saturday 31st July.
Tickets are £5 and are available from the bar or from Preston Tourist Information (at the Guild Hall) or online from seetickets – pre-book to avoid disappointment.
