Whats On

The Oddity by Rose van Leyenhorst

Wednesday, 1 June 2016 - 8:00pm

In this contemporary exploration of The Odyssey we join Tilly on her epic and fantastical quest to find her father.

The Oddity tells the story of Tilly, a young girl unable to cope with reality. Her father left her and her mother when she was a baby. Tilly becomes convinced that her father is in fact Odysseus trying to make his way home after the Trojan War. We follow her story in the play at two moments in time: when she is a young girl slowly losing her grip on reality, and 15 years later, when she has internalised the fantasy to live a ‘normal’ life in society.

Rose van Leyenhorst brings The Oddity to The Continental on Wednesday 1st June 2016. Doors open 8pm.
