Somewhere in the static between radio stations, Eggs Collective present Late Night Love, a tender and ridiculous show that clambers up your drainpipe with a rose between its teeth.

Inspired by the confessional radio show of the same name, Late Night Love is an unflinching attempt to unpick the truth from the fiction of chocolate boxes and untangle expectations of adulthood from the promise of power ballads.

Raw-edged and warm-hearted, tune in to Late Night Love, where teenage crushes wrangle with the reality of romance, saxophones cry and secrets crackle from radios in the dark.

Eggs Collective are a trio who make sharp, comic, politically motivated work that falls somewhere in the cracks between theatre and cabaret. Late Night Love is their second show, following the messy and much-loved Eggs Collective Get A Round.

Caravan of Love

Monday 25th – Thursday 28th April

As part of #HitTheNorth, Eggs Collective will be taking a mini-break in a caravan in the middle of Preston.

They invite the public to drop in and talk about love. Over the course of the week the stories collected will be woven together to create the ultimate gift a town can have: its very own power ballad.

Hoping to delve into the hearts of the people of Preston, Eggs Collective want to know what love is and create a unique portrait of the town, which will be unveiled at the end of the week, complete with billowing veils and candles. This will be followed by a performance of Late Night Love, a funny and angry show about expectation, romance and Richard Gere.

Power ballad unveiling before Late Night Love on 28 April.

Late Night Love will be at The Continental, Preston on Thursday 28th April, 8pm.
