A fictionalised biopic comedy-drama of Long Island
housewife-turned-Miracle-Mop-inventor Joy Mangano.
 
An inspirational portrayal of how she overcame personal and professional obstacles to rise to the top to become founder and matriarch of a powerful family business dynasty.
 
Writer-director David O Russell celebrates this dish rags-to-riches story in Joy, a screwball comedy every bit as deranged as the firebrand heroine and the dysfunctional clan around her.
