Damson Poets

Damson Poets is on the 26th February and will be held in the Snug. This month we welcome Jennifer Lee Tsai and Lorna Smithers as Guest Readers.
 
There will be open mic slots for people to sign up for on the night. Each slot is a maximum of 5 minutes. The start time is 7-30pm and we finish at 9-30pm. Free entry.

Jennifer Lee Tsai was born in Bebington and grew up in Liverpool. Jennifer is a fellow of The Complete Works III and a Ledbury Poetry Critic. Her poems are featured in the anthologies Ten: Poets of the New Generation (Bloodaxe: 2017), Islands Are But Mountains: New Poetry from the UK (Platypus Press, 2019) and have been published in numerous magazines and journals including Oxford Poetry, The Rialto, SMOKE, Soundings, Ambit, Wild Court and Magma.
 
Lorna Smithers is a founder member of Damson Poets and lives in Penwortham. She is the author of three books and her work has appeared in The Dawntreader, Eternal Haunted Summer, Moon Poets, Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, New Myths, and various anthologies. She is also a co-founder of Awen ac Awenydd and writes for Gods & Radicals. Her popular blog ‘From Peneverdant’ is used by the Lancashire Post for articles on local history.
