ARCHIVE - DETAILS OF THE CURRENT BEER FESTIVAL HERE

Our legendary Beer Festival returns on Thursday 30th May with more beers than ever before.

The recent boom in craft beer brewing from independent microbreweries, inspired by the burgeoning American scene, has led to a proliferation of new and interesting beers for the connoisseur, and there’ll be a whole host of them to choose from at this latest festival.

As usual, there’ll be well over a hundred ales, lagers, ciders and perrys on offer in the beer hall, in addition to a great roster of free live music in a large marquee in the beer garden, and delicious food, including the massively popular hog roast

The beers, from the UK’s finest craft producers and around the world, are complimented by over 40 different small batch ciders and perrys to sample. The girls from the Craft Cider Company will be along on the Friday doing tasting sessions with anyone who wants to join in.

Continental Beer Festivals

The Continental’s Beer Festivals have seen thousands of happy drinkers come through our doors and have become something of a Preston institution in the relatively short time since we reopened in the autumn of 2008.

We’ve won the CAMRA Pub of the Year trophy for two years running, cementing The Continental’s status as a veritable Mecca for real ale drinkers all over the North West and beyond. The festival sees a huge range of over 100 beers and ciders from the UK’s finest craft producers, and around the world.

Our Beer Fests are almost as well known for their live music line-ups as the great selections of ales - past events have seen performances from such cult acts as Mary Epworth and the Jubilee Band, Dan Haywood’s New Hawks, Stan’s Magic Foot, Brassic, Former Bullies, Changing Horses, Karima Francis, Ivan Campo, Serious Sam Barrett, Bilge Pump, Ottersgear, and The Black and Reds in the large outdoor marquee in our spacious garden.

All starts Thursday 30th May 2013 at 5pm sharp.

Thursday 30th May 5pm – 12am

Friday 31st May 12pm - 12am

Saturday 1st June 12pm – 12am

Entry is free.
