Mighty Boosh director Paul King makes his big screen debut with this hilarious ‘anti-road movie’.
For Stephen (Edward Hogg) every day is filled in exactly the same way as the last: eating the same food, watching the same TV shows, even urinating according to a timetable.
Having compulsively filed away every possession from his past, including said urine, he finds one day that an infestation of mice has nibbled through his stockpile of vegetarian lasagnas. It looks like Stephen may actually have to leave the house - what follows is an imaginary journey where we discover what has made him the man he is.
Intricate papier-mâché sets, stop-motion animation, cameos from Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt and a fantastic soundtrack by the Ralfe Band push up the quirk factor of this great modern British comedy flick.
