We welcome the return of Gideon Conn to Preston. Gideon has wowed at major festivals and toured with some fantastic artists including Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, 6 Day Riot and Jason Mraz. He released a catchy, hip hop/indie crossover single called 'I Want You Around' which was well received by radio - playlisted on Xfm and awarded breakfast single of the week on BBC 6 music as well being championed by Huw Stevens and Rob da Bank on Radio 1.

Son of the legendary UK singer-songwriter Roy Harper, Nick has played the guitar from the age of 10 and was surrounded by the likes of Keith Moon, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and Dave Gilmour as he grew up. Nick's talent and energy entranced Roy's fans and it was inevitable that he would begin touring and recording in his own right.
To call Nick a superlative singer/songwriter could put his highly lauded
guitar talent in the shade, and to call him a guitarist's guitarist

Seamus Mcloughlin has been a legend in the Preston area for many years - and was once part of 'Treehouse 3'. He is joined by Dan Wilde (from Blackpool) who has recently released his debut EP and much is expected of him.

Dean was a huge smash at our Jazz Club last September – if you missed it then here’s your chance to discover why.
Dean has performed with everyone from the New York Jazz Orchestra to The Drifters and Syd Lawrence and has played at the world famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London many times. He released his first solo album, ‘Old School’, last year. Dean describes himself as a ‘jazz saxophonist – with occasional funky stuff!’

The North West’s premier experimental music night is back for another evening of far out sounds. This month, legendary Blackpool-based experimental combo The Ceramic Hobs attack the stage again as part of their ‘Oz Oz Alice’ project. The Hobs have been a fixture on the experimental music scene since forming way back in 1995 and count Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore as one of their fans.

Steve West, who rose to fame as the drummer of the critically acclaimed seminal US indie rock band Pavement, comes to The Continental on Friday January 29th as lead vocalist of cult outfit Marble Valley, who will be joined on the night by popular local nu-folk merchants Ivan Campo.
