A Swell Chaos: Neo-Vaudevillian Roadshow - Wednesday 3rd March from 8pm - Tickets £6 adv, £7 on the door
Fuelled by fury and charged with charm, the Oddville Stage Company harness chaos in the service of filling the ever expanding universe with laughter. Its founders, Jenny Parson and Steve Morel, are a winning comedy duo with 20 years of professional experience, Just for Laughs, international tours, television and film.
― A Swell Chaos soars with two acts of vignettes featuring 34 costumes, 26 characters, 12 footlights, 10 instruments, and one antique screen.
― A Swell Chaos Is what it sounds like: a good time on a wild ride.
Steven and Jenny are alumni of the Second City*, where improvisation and audience suggestion are a cornerstone of the comedy. In A Swell Chaos they push the envelope by getting the audience in the driving seat and letting them take the show right off course - if they can.
Why?
Because they like the audience.
Because they like a different show every night.
Because they know exactly where they are going at all times and will get you and the show safely back on track, every time.
That‘s the Swell part.
*The Second City Theatre School in Toronto (www.secondcity.com) may not mean much to you, but if you remember the 90s comedy TV show Whose Line is it Anyway? Then some of the guys from that show came from the same theatre. Also, Mike Myers and Halle Berry attended!
