Chesaba - African Celebration!
WORLD MUSIC CLUB: Chesaba - an electrifying African celebration! Basking in Africa's sheer diversity, this trio plays music from Ivory Coast to South Africa. Sounds created from an eclectic blend of cello, kora, n'goni, African percussion, double bass and voice are accompanied by the languages of Bambara, Zulu, Sotho, Tswana and more. Embroidered around their music are improvisations influenced by African, Jazz and Classical Music. Read more

Slaughter II is formed by ex-members of legendary Manc punk act SLAUGHTER AND THE DOGS: Edweena Banger, formerly Eddie Garrity, from Ed Banger & The Nosebleeds, who replaced Wayne Barrett in the original line-up in 1979, and Manchester’s #1 punk drummer and original member Brian Grantham.
