You can hire the Continental and/or the Arts Space for corporate, private, and arts events. We offer a pleasant environment with friendly staff, excellent service and facilities and the best food and drink for miles around.

We will work with you to create the ideal venue hire package and provide on-the-day support for an outstandingly pleasant and successful event.

Corporate Hire - Down to business

Our stylish, cosy snug, our conservatory bay, and our roomy Arts Space, offer the perfect environments for business meetings, lunch meetings, training courses, staff away days, interviews, presentations and corporate reward days. Situated close to the city and near the river and park, with a private car park, the venue provides the perfect antidote to the workaday office environment. Bask in the pleasant atmosphere, use the Wi-Fi, enjoy the food and have a productive day that all your delegates will remember fondly. Equipment such as projector, white board, laptops etc are available for hire.

Private Hire - It's party time

Whether for a small gathering of friends and relatives in our chic and cosy snug or a large party in our Arts Space, The Continental is the perfect venue for that special event. With friendly service, a great atmosphere, excellent food and drink and access to our lively bar and landscaped garden, you have all the ingredients for a day to remember. Whatever your requirements, we can provide a bespoke package for you to make the day your own.

Arts Hire - Space to create

Need a venue for your arts event? The Continental Arts Space provides the perfect venue for your performance, audition, indoor film shoot, workshop or rehearsal. Part of The Continental and They Eat Culture’s mission is to support and develop local theatre groups, artists and arts organisations by giving them a platform to develop their work. We offer low-cost room and theatre hire for local artists and performers and are experienced in overseeing and assisting with productions. Give your artistic endeavour a kick-start by utilising this great facility.

Promoters of theatre, music, and other events are also welcome, and we look at each proposal individually.
